WHAT IS MAX

Most people are aware that the technical evolution of equipment installed on vessels requires more and more knowledge on the part of the personnel onboard. In spite of the fact that the equipment in use is reliable, a breakdown on one unit can cause heavy revenue losses to the ship owner, if the spare part is not available onboard, or if the personnel does not have the required training in regards to repairing the equipment that is malfunctioning. With a background of over 20 years experience in the marine field, Techsol Marine offers you UMS state of the art technology that can greatly reduce your operating and personnel training costs. We conceive, install, and bring into service control and monitoring systems that are personalized according to the request of our customers. The system is presented to the user in the shape of a touch screen on which are reproduced all the vital parts of the vessel. It is known under the name of MAX (Monitoring, Alarm and Control System), and integrates all UMS functions:

SIMPLICITY

Any person who has basic ship knowledge can quickly learn how to operate MAX. On a tactile screen, the user has an exact graphic reproduction of the ship and its vital parts. It has been noted that the system is so easy to use that its users simply do not see the need for an instruction manual. That is because Techsol Marine always keep in mind that MAX has to be a tool instead of a burden for the staff.

FLEXIBILITY

Our design allows us to adapt to any specific application for our customer. Most systems will not allow for high flexibility and the customers often hit an incompatibility problem which often leads to expensive solutions. Flexibility of solutions is what allows Techsol Marine to move seamlessly through all new customer requirements.

RELIABILITY

Our system meets all requirements for UMS operations, and the equipment has been certified by classification Societies such as ABS, Lloyd's Register, DNV and others. In addition to that, many customers will want to add a slave PLC, which can then provide redundancy at the alarm level, and a second redundancy stage at the process control level. That solution is known as MAX II.

OPENNESS

Information means power and security. The open architecture of MAX permits the connection of HMIs anywhere in the vessel, or better yet, anywhere in the world. With today's technologies there is virtually no limit to where MAX can reach you. More and more customers require remote access to their vessel's machinery for monitoring purposes, whether it be from a simple pager that warns the user about an alarm onboard or for complete HMI capabilities on a laptop using a web browser.

SUPPORT

The system is modular, reducing the price and amount of spare parts required, and is built from standard components used around the world in the industry, thus guarantying the availability of material and support for the life expectancy of your vessel. Techsol Marine offers a great technical support team and puts the customer in contact with top-qualified engineers and technicians that will assist people onboard with any issues.
